Move your business email to WigoSend, with guidance at every step.
Coming from Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, cPanel, or Zimbra? WigoSend guides you through setting up your workspace, connecting your domain, and transferring your mailboxes without downtime.
Assess
Connect your source and inspect mail volume, mailbox count, and eligible data before committing.
Set up
Configure your workspace, verify domain ownership via DNS, and map each mailbox.
Cut over
Transfer data, update MX records for live routing, verify mail delivery, and go live.
Your domain, your addresses, your history — moving, not vanishing.
Switching email providers can feel like starting from zero: new addresses to learn, history to lose, a domain to reconfigure from scratch. Moving to WigoSend is built around what you already have — your domain, your team's addresses, and (depending on your current provider) your existing mail, contacts, and calendars. It's a guided process you run yourself, not a rebuild.
Your domain stays yours
No change of ownership or registrar required. You simply add DNS records to route mail to your new WigoSend workspace.
Same team email addresses
Colleagues keep their exact addresses (e.g. alex@yourcompany.com). Your clients and contacts won't notice any change.
Preserved communication history
Bring your inbox, folders, contacts, and calendars across with duplicate-safe transfer and pre-flight assessments.
What businesses are usually looking for when they move.
Cost predictability
Capacity-band pricing means your cost doesn't climb automatically every time you hire.
A modern day-to-day experience
A current, uncluttered mail workspace: email, calendar, contacts, chat, files, and meetings in one place.
Better administration
Mailbox management, aliases, forwarding, and distribution lists built for a business owner or office manager to run, not just a technical specialist.
More control
Your email on your own domain, configured correctly, with visibility into how it's set up and managed.
Room to expand into collaboration
When shared, customer-facing addresses like support@ or sales@ need real organization, WigoSend Team is a natural next step — a separate product, added when you're ready.
Pick the level of support that matches your migration.
Choose whether you prefer self-serve execution, structured guidance alongside our team, or hands-on migration management.
Self-serve
Run the migration yourself through the WigoSend interface — connect your source, review the mapping, and complete the move at your own pace. Built for standard Google, Microsoft, or IMAP mail migrations with a clear one-to-one mailbox mapping.
Guided
For more complex situations — multiple domains, larger mailbox counts, or mappings that need a second look — WigoSend support provides structured planning and review: source assessment, mapping review, DNS preparation, cutover planning, and post-migration verification.
Need advanced routing or multiple domains? If your migration includes shared mailboxes, delegated access, multiple domains, or complex mappings, self-serve may not cover it — request a guided assessment instead.
What moves, and what doesn't — before you commit.
Data-transfer scope depends on your source provider and how you access it. Here is the exact confirmed scope across provider categories.
Google Workspace & Microsoft 365 / Exchange
Full API SupportConnected via authorized admin or tenant credentials.
- Mail — supported, subject to your account's access and permissions.
- Contacts — supported.
- Calendars — supported (events, times, time zones, recurrence, attendees, descriptions, locations; reminders where supported).
- Attachments — migrated as part of supported mail messages, subject to WigoSend's attachment limits.
Zoho, cPanel, Zimbra & other IMAP sources
IMAP StandardConnected over standard IMAP/SMTP protocols.
- Mail — supported, wherever the source provider provides standard IMAP access.
- Contacts & Calendars — not guaranteed through an IMAP-only connection. Only available where a separately supported export or import format exists.
- Attachments — migrated as part of IMAP message payloads, subject to attachment limits.
Not included on any path, unless separately confirmed
Mail filters and rules, signatures, tasks, notes, Drive/OneDrive files, SharePoint content, distribution lists, chat history, provider-specific labels or metadata, delegated or shared mailbox access, mobile-device settings, security/authentication policies, and third-party integrations.
A few things worth knowing
No silent drops
Oversized attachments aren't silently dropped — if one exceeds the limit, the message still migrates with a clear warning on that attachment.
Duplicate-safe retries
Duplicate detection is built in and safe to re-run — retrying a migration job won't create duplicate mail, contacts, or calendar events.
Silent attendee imports
Calendar imports are handled carefully so external attendees are not unexpectedly re-notified of existing meetings.
Guidance for wherever you're coming from.
Each provider handles authorization and protocol access slightly differently. Here is what to expect during connection.
Google Workspace
Full support for Mail, Contacts, and Calendars, subject to the access and permissions your account or workspace administrator grants (Google may require administrator approval for some organizations).
Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online
Full support for Mail, Contacts, and Calendars, subject to the access and permissions your account or tenant administrator grants (some organizations require tenant administrator consent).
Zoho, cPanel, Zimbra & others
Mail migrates over IMAP where your provider allows it. Some providers require an app password rather than your regular account password — WigoSend will tell you if that's the case. Contacts and calendars generally aren't available through this path unless a specific import format is supported.
A few things to have ready.
Having these items prepared in advance helps ensure your migration progresses smoothly and avoids unnecessary cutover delays. For detailed protocol mechanics and TTL formulas, read our engineering guide on zero-downtime MX cutover architecture.
Domain DNS access
Access to your domain's DNS settings through your domain registrar (e.g. GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare) or current DNS host.
Mailbox list
A list of the active mailboxes and user accounts you'll need to set up on WigoSend to map your team correctly.
Authentication credentials
An app password or provider-approved authentication method, if your current provider requires one for IMAP access.
Pre-migration assessment awareness
Awareness that WigoSend runs a pre-migration assessment before anything moves — it will tell you your estimated mailbox count, mail volume, contacts, calendars, and any items it can't migrate, before you commit to a cutover.
Controlled cutover timing
A rough sense of timing for your cutover — DNS changes take time to propagate, so plan to keep your current provider active until you've verified mail is flowing correctly on WigoSend.
You can start migrating during your Mail trial.
Trial workspaces can connect a source, run a pre-migration assessment, and complete a small test migration to see how it works — all without a payment method. Full-scale migration is subject to your trial's resource limits, so a large migration may need to wait until you've chosen a plan. Your trial won't convert to paid automatically either way.
Your migration readiness checklist.
Go through these pre-flight checks to ensure your organization is fully prepared before initiating cutover.
Support that knows the product, when you need it.
Migration involves a few technical steps — DNS changes especially can be unfamiliar if you haven't done them before. WigoSend's support can help you troubleshoot:
For anything more involved — multiple domains, large migrations, or repeated provider issues — these get routed to WigoSend's migration team for direct review.
Controlled fallback & rollback
If you need to fall back to your previous setup, WigoSend can help restore your previous DNS routing and pause outbound sending from WigoSend.
This is a controlled fallback, not a guaranteed reverse migration — messages sent from both systems during the transition may not reconcile automatically, so keep both systems available until validation is complete.
Questions about moving to WigoSend, answered.
Will my email be down during migration?
WigoSend is designed to minimize disruption, but doesn't promise zero downtime — DNS changes take time to propagate, and provider caching can cause temporary delivery differences during cutover. Keeping your previous provider active until you've verified mail is flowing on WigoSend avoids any gap.
How long does migration take?
It depends mainly on how much mail, how many mailboxes, and how much attachment data you're moving, plus DNS propagation time for cutover.
Will all my old emails move over?
For Google and Microsoft sources, yes, subject to your account's access. For other IMAP-compatible providers, mail generally transfers; contacts and calendars usually don't unless a specific import format is supported. See "What can and cannot be moved" above for the full picture.
Do I need technical knowledge to migrate?
Migration involves some technical steps, mainly DNS changes, but WigoSend guides you through each one. No prior technical experience is required, though comfort with accessing your domain registrar's settings helps.
Does WigoSend do the migration for me?
By default, self-serve migration means you run the steps yourself with WigoSend's guidance. For more complex migrations, guided support from WigoSend reviews your plan and mappings alongside you. If you want the migration handled hands-on end to end, paid migration assistance is a separate, scoped service.
What happens to my domain during migration?
Your domain stays yours throughout. You'll update specific DNS records to point your email to WigoSend, but domain ownership doesn't change.
Can I migrate from a provider not listed here?
Likely, if it offers IMAP access for mail. Contacts and calendar support isn't guaranteed outside Google and Microsoft.
What if I get stuck during migration?
Support can help with connection setup, permissions, mapping, capacity, and DNS questions — see the support section above.
Do I need to start a trial before migrating, or can I migrate directly to a paid plan?
You can start migrating — including a test migration — during your trial. A full-scale migration is subject to your trial's resource limits, so larger migrations may need a paid plan first.
What happens to my old provider account during and after migration?
Keep it active until you've completed post-migration validation on WigoSend — this protects you if anything needs a second look. Cancelling or downgrading your old provider account afterward is your own decision; WigoSend doesn't do this for you.
Will my team need to change their email addresses?
No — if you're keeping your existing domain, your team's addresses stay the same; what changes is where that email is hosted.
Can I migrate just my email, or does WigoSend Team come with it?
Migrating to WigoSend Mail doesn't include WigoSend Team's shared-inbox functionality — Team is a separate product with its own setup.
What if my current provider blocks IMAP access or doesn't support what I need?
WigoSend can't connect if your provider blocks IMAP access or the necessary permission hasn't been granted. Contact support to check compatibility before you begin.
